Our dear friend turned 60 recently and her children threw a big birthday party in her honor. It was a lot of fun and I was so happy to have had the pleasure of making this beautiful cake! Here is the birthday girl, MaryBeth.
And here is the invitation that served as the design inspiration.
The bottom tier was yellow cake filled with chocolate mousse, the middle and top tiers were chocolate filled with chocolate mousse. All was frosted with vanilla buttercream.Here are some close up shots of the details.
