The Wegeleben's Wedding Cake

A simply beautiful wedding cake for a beautiful couple!
This chocolate wedding cake was filled with a delicious coconut-pecan frosting (traditionally on top of a German Chocolate cake).  All is frosted with my delicious buttercream.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Wegeleben!

3-Tier Rustic Wedding Cake

I loved this order!  The bride knew exactly what she wanted her cake to look like and it was fun to create for her.  This three tier cake had two tiers of French Vanilla cake with Lemon Cream filling.  The middle tier was Chocolate cake with Vanilla Cream filling.  The cake is topped with blueberries, golden raspberries, and a few leaves of fresh mint.  Katie - thank you so much for letting me do a small part for your beautiful event!  Congratulations!

Red, White, and Blue Patriotic Cake

I had a cake request for a very casual wedding with red and blue details and a monogram topper.  The cake was red velvet with vanilla cream filling.

Birch Tree Wedding Cake

There were so many cute details for this wedding and I was so excited to create a beautiful cake to add to the special event.  The bride requested the birch tree bark finish on the wedding cake and mini cupcakes for her younger guests to embellish at the reception.  It was a yellow cake with chocolate cream filling on the bottom tier and vanilla cream filling for the top tier.  The mini cupcakes were yellow cake and chocolate cake with a simple vanilla buttercream swirl on top.  Congratulations Julie and Mark, and thank you, Delfina, for the business!

Black & White Wedding Cake and Cupcakes

This was such a beautiful event, and I was so glad that I could contribute to the Bride and Groom's special day!  The two-tier wedding cake was Orange Creamsicle, with a simple black ribbon and bow adorning it, and topped with a sparkly monogram.  Half of the cupcakes were Raspberry-Kissed Chocolate with a rosette of Vanilla Buttercream on top, while the other half were French Vanilla with a Lemon Buttercream rosette on top.  Jenelle and Miles, THANK YOU for the order and congratulations!

Infinity Symbol Wedding Cake

For this small wedding cake, I was asked to incorporate the infinity symbol around the top tier and use ribbon around the bottom tier and to keep it very simple.  It was yellow cake with chocolate cream filling, all frosted and decorated with vanilla buttercream.

Wintery Wedding Cake

This 4-tier wedding cake was a big one!  All was made of vanilla cake and tiers alternated vanilla cream filling and lemon cream filling (my favorite!).  The bride provided the branch and the topper to adorn the cake.  Congratulations Cindy and thank you for including me in your special day!

Rustic 4-Tier Wedding Cake

The first two pictures were onsite at the wedding, this last one was what it looked like as I delivered it to the florist.  The flowers she added were so beautiful.  There was a slight mishap with delivery so the front of the cake was actually turned into the back of the cake and the heart and initials were "carved" into the new front side and there were a few more flowers than originally planned.  But everything worked out and it looked beautiful at the wedding. The 12 inch round bottom tier was vanilla cake with raspberry filling.  The 10 inch tier above that was chocolate cake with vanilla cream filling, above that is an 8 inch tier that was carrot cake with cream cheese filling.  The top tier is a pumpkin spice cake with apple cinnamon cream cheese filling.  All was frosted with off-white buttercream.  Lots of flavors for the guests to choose from!  Nicole & Patrick - thank you for your order and congratulations on your beautiful day!  Becky - thank you for saving the cake. :o)

Wedding Cake with a Tree

The bride requested a three tier white wedding cake with a tree up the center.  She had shared a picture of what she wanted and I went off of that.  The bottom tier is chocolate cake with mint buttercream filling, the middle and top tiers are vanilla cake with raspberry filling.  The frosting is all buttercream, the brown details are chocolate and the green details are mint.

She also ordered a lot of cupcakes for her special day.  She had one batch of orange cupcakes with vanilla buttercream, one batch of lemon cupcakes with raspberry buttercream, and one batch of pineapple cupcakes with coconut buttercream.

Congratulations, Christa!  I hope you enjoyed all your treats.  Thank you for the order!

Black and White Wedding Cake "Biker Elegance"

This was a very fun, non-traditional wedding cake order.  The bride had an image of a cake she liked and asked if I could produce something similar.  She said the wedding would have kind of a "biker-elegance" feel. :o)  She requested the skull and crossbones, studded ribbon, and rhinestones incorporated into the cake design and fresh bright pink roses to finish it off.  She was very pleased with the cake!  The bottom and top tiers were white cake with vanilla cream filling, and the middle tier was white cake with coconut cream filling.  All was frosted with my buttercream frosting.

Ivory Snowflake Wedding Cake

This 4-tier wedding cake was for my cousin's wedding this week.  She requested an ivory cake with the hearts, snow, and snowflakes incorporated.  The top tier is a very small 4-inch round cake for the couple to save for their first anniversary.  The tier below that is my first attempt at an eggless cake, as one of my cousins has an allergy to eggs (as well as almonds - so no almond extract in the frosting either).  It is a vanilla cake filled with vanilla buttercream.  Below that tier is a chocolate cake tier with chocolate cream filling, then the bottom tier is a vanilla cake with vanilla cream filling.  The whole cake is frosted and decorated with vanilla buttercream.  The red hearts are made from Wilton Candy Melts.  The wedding was so lovely and it is always great to see family.  Congratulations to my cousin Layna and her new husband, Jeff!!!

Cornelli Lace 3-Tier Wedding Cake with a "Brooch"

This 3-tier wedding cake was inspired by the bride's dress.  She had a gorgeous cornelli lace gown with a satin sash around her waist with a silver brooch in the center.  The back of the sash was tied in a bow.  I also have a satin ribbon around the middle tier of this cake, but it matched the frosting so well, it didn't stand out in the photo very well.  There is also a bow in the back of the cake with the ends trailing down the bottom tier.  My sister-in-law was the wedding photographer, so I will definitely post her much, much better pictures once she shares them with me.  :o)

The bottom tier is chocolate-vanilla marble cake with vanilla cream filling, the middle tier is vanilla cake with coconut cream filling, and the top tier was the groom's favorite - dark chocolate cake with raspberry filling.  All was frosted with vanilla buttercream frosting.  The "brooch" was also edible, made with silver frosting and sugar sparkles and white nonpareils.  The bride purchased the cute wooden bride and groom cake toppers from Etsy.

Congratulations, Jeff and Lauren!  I hope you had time to enjoy a piece of cake!! :o)  Everything looked beautiful!

White on White Wedding Cake

The following picture shows the details a little better, but the color is slightly off and looks kind of yellow. Close-up of the top tier and topper.

This cake is the biggest I've done yet! Not necessarily because of the height, but the actual amount of cake. The mother-of-the-bride chose this design for her daughter's wedding cake. She wanted to have two sets of tiers, with one containing the little bride and groom in the car topper. Because of the topper I had to use taller than usual columns. She requested a simple white on white cake and decided on fresh flowers to adorn the tiers. I incorporated the scrolly hearts into the design because I knew hearts were a theme for the wedding. I also arranged the flowers once I set the cake up on site. The bottom tier is dark chocolate cake with chocolate cream filling, the middle two tiers are yellow cake with raspberry filling, and the small top tier is dark chocolate cake. All is frosted with vanilla buttercream.

Fishing Themed Groom's Cake

This cake will be a surprise from a bride to her groom on their wedding day! He loves fishing and she wanted to do something to recognize that on their special day. It is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and some buttercream frosting. The bride chose the fishing couple topper and I purchased it from Amazon. Congratulations Jessica and thanks for your order!

Pearls and Lace Wedding Cake

This was an exciting cake to do because the inspiration cake from this website was so beautiful! The pearls are piped on with frosting, but the ribbon, lace, and flowers are real (not edible). The roses had a special significance to bride, so I was so excited to find the right size and color of lace with roses incorporated in the design.

It is a vanilla cake with raspberry filling, all frosted with (very pale green) vanilla buttercream. The bottom tier is a 10 inch round, with 3 layers of cake. The top tier is an 8 inch round, also with 3 layers of cake.

I delivered this cake and forgot my camera, so a big THANK YOU to Betsy at Studio B Photography for sharing her professional and beautiful pictures. Thank you, Marta, for the order - and congratulations!!

Wedding Cake Replica Request

This cake (vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream) was a special request for a special event. The couple pictured above are now celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Their daughter wanted to surprise them with a miniature version of their original wedding cake. As you can see, the original cake had a little bit of everything on it! Pillars, swans, roses, swirls, scallops, a butterfly, bells, tulle, you name it! Their daughter thought that the flowers and leaves were colored. I think some of them were gold or silver foil, even! So based solely on the photo above, this is what I created. I also did the topper. I found the swans on E-bay and the butterfly was actually from my wedding stuff.

Here's a picture of my cake in black and white, for fun. :o)
