Parker's Cupcake Party (and Giant Cupcake!)

My good friend's little girl, Parker, turned 6 this week. One of Parker's favorite shows is D.C. Cupcakes, so she wanted a cupcake party. Her and her mom made a bunch of cupcakes together, but asked if I could do a giant cupcake. So of course, I did! I also made the cute matching banner. The cake was vanilla with vanilla and chocolate buttercream frosting.

And here's a picture from her party. The cupcakes she made with her mom turned out cute and looked great on the cupcake stand I made for them. It was a carboard cupcake stand that I decorated with paper to match her banner. The stands are always available from me as well, with or without a banner order.

Mickey Mouse Baby Cake and Mini Cupcakes

Mickey Mouse was a fun theme to do. This cake is for a little guy's first birthday. I made a baby cake, mini cupcakes, and banner to match. The cake and some of the cupcakes are classic yellow with vanilla buttercream (the mickey cupcakes were chocolate buttercream), and the rest of the cupcakes were vanilla cake with buttercream. The cake stand was something new I wanted to test out. It's cardboard and was a cinch to put together and was less than $10!

Small Bumble Bee Cake

I had a request for a smaller version of my original Bumble Bee 2-Tier cake. So I created this one. It is a yellow cake with vanilla buttercream and chocolate buttercream details and a custom topper. This cake is for a gender-neutral office baby shower.

Digger/Dump Truck Cake

My little guy turned two this week. It was a lot of fun planning for his truck, tractor, train themed party. I made a short 2 tiered yellow cake with a tiny bit of rum extract for a little extra flavor and vanilla buttercream frosting. The dirt road was crushed Oreo cookies and the rocks were actually chocolate rocks from the bulk section at Top Foods, there were also a few peanut clusters mixed among the rocks on top. The trees were just piped on with frosting. Needless to say, the kids at the party were all very excited to eat the cake!
