I made this cake for a friend last February and just came across the pictures she sent me. Oops! I had forgotten to take pictures before I sent it off to the party! I made it to match the blue polk-a-dot party decorations and the customer made her own toppers inspired by some I had done on a different (but similar) cake.

Peanut M&M Cake
This birthday girl loves peanut M&Ms, so her daughter wanted to surprise her with a little M&M cake. It is chocolate cake filled with peanut butter frosting, frosted with vanilla buttercream. Fun to do and pretty simple. I carved the oval cake just slightly to slope the edges down. Happy Birthday Tammy! Enjoy.

Polk-A-Dot Baby (Boy) Shower Cake
Back to School Cake
Another fun cake! This cake was ordered for a customer's coworker who was leaving her current job to become a kindergarten teacher. They had a little good-bye party for her today. It is a mocha cake with mocha filling, all frosted with vanilla buttercream. The cupcake apple on top was dark chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream and red sugar sprinkles, a piece of hazelnut milk chocolate as the stem, and a mint gumdrop as the leaf.

Fishing Themed Groom's Cake
This cake will be a surprise from a bride to her groom on their wedding day! He loves fishing and she wanted to do something to recognize that on their special day. It is a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and some buttercream frosting. The bride chose the fishing couple topper and I purchased it from Amazon. Congratulations Jessica and thanks for your order!

Fish Cake
Special request for a special birthday boy turning six - a fish cake! I used a molded pan in the shape of a fish and then made a few modifications after it was out of the oven. It is strawberry cake (because I wanted it to look like a salmon, and then be pink when cut into...) with vanilla buttercream. If I had a fish cake request again.... I would forgo the molded pan and just carve it myself. I think a side view would have looked better, rather than the 3-d top view. But it turned out pretty good and I think it will be a fun cake for a birthday celebration. Happy Birthday, Tate!!
