Pink Zebra Mini Two-Tier Cake

I had another customer request the pink and zebra print cake, but this time with the addition of a mini-cake for baby's 1st birthday.  This is an 8-inch round strawberry cake with cream cheese filling, topped with a 4 inch mini cake in the same flavor.  All frosted with my vanilla-almond buttercream.  I also made the topper.  Happy Birthday, little Stella!  Hope you enjoyed your cake. :o)

Cars and Trucks 1st Birthday Cake

Henry turned one last week and his mama requested a 1st birthday cake with cars and trucks.  Nothing specific, so this was what I came up with.  I was pleased with the colors, as I'm not a huge fan of really bright primary colors for cakes.  I like the red with the pastels to tone it down.  This was a vanilla confetti cake with vanilla cream filling.  Happy Birthday, Sweet Little Henry!

Golf Themed Cupcakes

Golf cupcakes for a couples wedding shower.  I made one dozen chocolate cupcakes with the grass buttercream frosting, and one dozen (not pictured) yellow cupcakes with maple butter frosting and dusting of brown sugar on top.  Ooooh those were good!  They were intended to look like a sand trap.  There were golf ball toppers for all the cupcakes and the party hostess also thought she would stick a golf tee into some of the cupcakes.  Sorry I don't have pictures of the whole display - I bet it was very cute.

Birthday Cake for Grandpa

The request was simply for a birthday cake to celebrate a Grandfather's 75th birthday.  No theme - just a party cake.  This is a vanilla cake with pistachio cream filling and buttercream frosting.  Candles were to be placed  on top at the party.  Thanks for another order, Anne!!

Madagascar Cake for Lincoln

Lincoln turned 3 this week and loved his Madagascar themed cake!  The bottom tier is vanilla confetti cake with raspberry filling, the top tier is orange creamsicle.  All of this cake is frosted and decorated with buttercream.  I also made the topper, and I borrowed the toys from my little ones. :o)

Rustic 4-Tier Wedding Cake

The first two pictures were onsite at the wedding, this last one was what it looked like as I delivered it to the florist.  The flowers she added were so beautiful.  There was a slight mishap with delivery so the front of the cake was actually turned into the back of the cake and the heart and initials were "carved" into the new front side and there were a few more flowers than originally planned.  But everything worked out and it looked beautiful at the wedding. The 12 inch round bottom tier was vanilla cake with raspberry filling.  The 10 inch tier above that was chocolate cake with vanilla cream filling, above that is an 8 inch tier that was carrot cake with cream cheese filling.  The top tier is a pumpkin spice cake with apple cinnamon cream cheese filling.  All was frosted with off-white buttercream.  Lots of flavors for the guests to choose from!  Nicole & Patrick - thank you for your order and congratulations on your beautiful day!  Becky - thank you for saving the cake. :o)

Flower Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for my sister-in-law's baby shower this weekend.  We had a lot of flowers for the decor and so I went with that idea for the dessert.  I felt that cupcakes were more fitting for this party than a large cake.  They are pink lemonade cupcakes with buttercream frosting.  I did three designs: hydrangea, rose, and marigold.

50th Birthday Brownie Cake

This is a two-layer brownie cake filled and frosted with chocolate buttercream.  The customer requested some green leaves and the birthday message on the cake.  Thanks for the order, Pam!

Wedding Cake with a Tree

The bride requested a three tier white wedding cake with a tree up the center.  She had shared a picture of what she wanted and I went off of that.  The bottom tier is chocolate cake with mint buttercream filling, the middle and top tiers are vanilla cake with raspberry filling.  The frosting is all buttercream, the brown details are chocolate and the green details are mint.

 

She also ordered a lot of cupcakes for her special day.  She had one batch of orange cupcakes with vanilla buttercream, one batch of lemon cupcakes with raspberry buttercream, and one batch of pineapple cupcakes with coconut buttercream.

Kermit the Frog Cake
